Bridie Davies

me in hole2Bridie is a first year PhD student at the University of East Anglia. As a keen petrologist and passionate science communicator Bridie is excited to be part of this collaborative project. She will be looking in detail at the felsic lavas and pyroclastic deposits found on the island performing textural and compositional analyses in order to determine the pre-eruptive conditions occurring at the transition from episodes of lava production and doming to the eruption of explosive pyroclastic deposits. After an exciting field season, Bridie is carrying out initial analyses on the rocks  she managed to stuff into her suitcase!
