Bridie Davies

me

Bridie is a first year PhD student at the University of East Anglia. As a keen petrologist and passionate science communicator Bridie is excited to be part of this collaborative project. She will be looking in detail at the felsic lavas and pyroclastic deposits found on the island performing textural and compositional analyses in order to determine the pre-eruptive conditions occurring at the transition from episodes of lava production and doming to the eruption of explosive pyroclastic deposits. She is hoping to head to Ascension in June for her first exciting field season, to see first hand the amazing geology and collect as many samples as she can fit in her suitcase!
